How to play:
The players form two lines opposite each other. As all players chant the rhyme the following actions are done. The two players at the top hold hands and skip down the middle to the end of the line and skip back to the top.
Then they let go hands and go down the outside of the line at each side the players behind them follow. When they reach the bottom they join hands and form an arch.
The other players go under the arch and line up. The two players now at the top start over again. Rhyme: Oh the Grand Old Duke of York He had ten thousand men He marched them up to the top of the hill And he marched them down again
And when they were up they were up And when they were down they were down And when they were only half way up They were neither up nor down
